Are you an organized peoplefocused professional looking to make a difference in health care Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a RegistrationSwitchboard Clerk at the qathet General Hospital located in Powell River BC.
What You Will Do
As a key member of the health records team youll help ensure the accuracy security and accessibility of patient informationsupporting highquality care behind the scenes. Your attention to detail and organization will help keep records processing running smoothly and efficiently.
Your Day to Day
As a Health Records Clerk you will:
Retrieve patient charts from units and prepare documents for electronic scanning.
Scan index and verify records using computerized scanning software.
Apply indexing criteria to organize documents correctly and ensure image quality meets standards.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing storing records and lifting boxes as needed.
Retrieve archived patient records upon request.
Track and calculate departmental statistics.
Provide reception coverage and general clerical support for the department.

Education & Experience:
- Grade 12
- One years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
Skills And Abilities:
- Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm
