We are looking for an energetic passionate reliable 1st and 2ndyear Apprentice Plumber to join our Calgary Manufacturing Plant. This is a unionbased position.
Reporting to the Lead hand Plumber Apprentice is responsible for assisting in plumbing duties and also supports the installation of HVAC equipment in modular buildings/units from rough in to finishing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation of plumbing in modular units from rough in to finishing
- Installation of water pipes drainages and fixtures
- Read blueprints drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system water supply network and drainage systems
- Troubleshooting and testing of all plumbing fixtures and systems in the modular units
- Follow all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Plumbing program and meet the qualifications as a registered 1st and 2nd year Plumber Apprentice.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
- Ability to stand crouch and kneel for long periods of time
- Capacity to lift heavy equipment and materials when required
