About the role
Our Resilient Families program is a therapeutic evidence informed program designed to provide 12month intensive inhome support to families with at least one child aged 9 years and under. This is an innovative funding model developed in partnership with the South Australian Government. The Benevolent Society is the first organisation to deliver this program in South Australia.
As our Case Manager you will provide intensive support to families enabling children to live safely at home where there are significant complex vulnerabilities. You will provide intensive case management including inhome practical and therapeutic support from an evidence informed Resilience led approach. You will improve childrens wellbeing by strengthening family functioning and relationships.
Duties
- Engage clients including children young people adults and/or families using appropriate assessment and risk minimisation processes.
- Work with clients to undertake comprehensive assessments to develop implement monitor and review their client plan and outcomes that identify strengths as well as areas of risk ensuring children and young people are actively engaged in the process.
- Coordinate with other service providers including government departments and agencies schools health services GPs and allied health providers to ensure services are delivered.
- Assist clients to engage with wrap around services directly as appropriate.

Skills and Experience
You will have a degree qualification at least 3 years work experience in the Child Protection system and:
- Ability to actively engage high needs families using clientcentered strengths based approaches.
- An interest and/or experience in male inclusive practice.
- Ability to work autonomously with families where various psychosocial issues are present.
- High level written and verbal communication current drivers license.
- Excellent relationship building skills and experience working with the local Aboriginal communities.
- Comfortable working in Evidence Informed Practice with a outcomes focus understanding of current evidence based practice and intervention approaches for families and children.
