The 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive individualized nursing care to a medically fragile student within the educational setting. The RN will be responsible for implementing the students individualized healthcare plan (IHP) administering prescribed medications and treatments monitoring the students health status and responding to medical emergencies. The RN will collaborate with the students family school staff and healthcare providers to ensure the students safety and wellbeing enabling them to fully participate in their educational :Individualized Care:Provide continuous oneonone nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day including transportation as and adhere to the students individualized healthcare plan (IHP) as developed by the healthcare specialized nursing procedures including but not limited to:Medication administration (oral subcutaneous intramuscular intravenous etc.).Gastrostomy tube (Gtube) feedings and care and management (if applicable).Oxygen and document the students vital signs health status and responses to and respond appropriately to changes in the students condition including medical and Communication:Collaborate with the students family school staff (teachers therapists administrators) and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of regular updates to the school nurse and other relevant personnel regarding the students health accurate and detailed documentation of all nursing interventions assessments and in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as as a liaison between the school and the students medical team.
