Sr. Supplier QA Manager

About this role:
The External Operations Supplier Quality organization at Boston Scientific is a global passionate team that oversees a diverse network of suppliers which manufacture finished devices for BSC distribution. The Supplier Quality Manager will demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and collaborate with crossfunctional internal/external resources to continually improve our suppliers manufacturing processes and grow the team. The role will focus on leading a team of Supplier Quality Engineers through supplier onboarding new product launches sustaining programs and value improvement projects. The manager will direct projects to ensure the manufacture of highquality product and to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead team through New Product Development based on coordination with management project leaders & divisional core team members.
  • Identify develop and implement processes to improve department performance.
  • Influences Sr. Management on potential improvements or enhancements to quality systems and processes for BSC and our suppliers.
  • Serve as Supplier Quality representative in Divisional meetings. And engage with cross functional stakeholders to prioritize sustaining projects for each franchise.
  • Responds resourcefully flexibly and positively when faced with new challenges transitions and demands
  • Monitor daytoday operations and provide direction and guidance to employees on their divisional or project goals.
  • Ensure sustaining support of Quality System and Regulatory compliance
  • Effective interact and communicate with internal and external customers or suppliers
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of area budgets through regular cost analysis and spending.
  • Fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace enabling all participants to contribute to their full potential in support of organizational objectives.
  • Attracts develops manages and retains top talent. Ensures employees receive ongoing feedback mentoring training and development opportunities.
  • Aligns the vision mission and values in decisionmaking and actions.

What were looking for in you:
Minimal requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required in Engineering Science or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of related and progressive work experience within the medical device industry
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success leading and developing high performing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong facilitation & communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization with proven ability to lead individuals complex projects and solve difficult technical problems.
  • Highly adaptable willing to accept new ideas and ability to create influence and implement global strategies and policies successfully
  • Experience collaborating with global teams and suppliers including both and international regions.
  • Ability to travel 20%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced technical or business degree
  • Background in Supplier Quality Global Sourcing or Operations
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers or OEM suppliers
  • Proficient in MS Excel Word Project PowerPoint and ERP Systems
  • Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 13485 or similar)
  • ASQ certification (CQE CBA SSGB SSBB) preferred
  • Strong foundation in Material Controls and Quality Management Systems
  • Skilled in collaborating with functions such as Quality Systems Manufacturing Engineering Sourcing Regulatory Research and Development Design Assurance and Project Management
  • Proven ability to lead both onsite and virtual teams
  • Experience recruiting & developing a highperforming talent

Maximum Salary: $243000

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for nonexempt (hourly) nonsales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt nonsales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and longterm incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
