Job Description
- Take and record vital signs.
- Measure and record height weight and fluid intake/output.
- Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
- Assist as needed with medication reminders bathing grooming dressing escort service and other activities of daily living.
- Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia.
- Transfer position and turn residents.
- Provide skin care to residents.
- Contribute to the residents assessment and the plan of care.
- Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
- Follow the schedule of residents needs set out by supervisor.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents.
- Promote and protect resident rights assist residents in making informed decisions treat residents with dignity and respect protect residents personal belongings report suspected abuse or neglect avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards and support independent expression choice and decisionmaking consistent with applicable law and regulation.
- Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
- Respect residents confidentiality.
Qualifications :
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or General Education Degree is mandatory. Additional education or training in clinical/nursing field is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical/nursing experience is required. Candidates with experience in memory care settings will be given priority consideration.
Licensure: Valid STNA licensure as per state requirements and regulations is nonnegotiable.
Language Proficiency: Demonstrable proficiency in English is essential for effective job performance clear communication with supervisors and colleagues and appropriate response to emergency situations.
Technical Competencies: Proficiency in basic computer skills is required.
Critical Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with precision and care.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are imperative.
