Job Description

Job Summary
The Stores Supervisor manages and operates a functioning stockroom. To support teaching and research activities of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Purchase merchandise. Issue requisitions for items obtainable under State Contract. Supervise the maintenance of record pricing of supplies and billing for goods. Supervise and support stockroom workstudy students and staff schedules and duties. Receive inspect and facilitate delivery of materials to end users. Supervise and manage the inventory of supplies in stockroom prepare reports of stockroom sales and activity. Work with Environmental Health and Safety to maintain an accurate database of chemical inventory and provide containers for hazardous chemical waste disposal. Refill cryogenic cylinders. Other related functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree or a combination of military experience or five (5) years of experience in the procurement storage issue and accounting for property. One (1) year in a supervisory capacity. Must have a valid state drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree or higher. Science preferably chemistry background.

Work Schedule
MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Occasional covering evening shift.
