This position will support our growth strategy by leading the development of automation equipment and optimizing our current portfolio of solutions. You will have the opportunity to provide technical and project leadership within I&D and across department boundaries throughout all stages of product development and lifecycle management. The value brought by the qualified individual will be crucial to CardMonroes success in our most critical growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of work in the Innovation & Development organization is broad and will require you to provide technical leadership during project conceptualization project planning design manufacturing inhouse testing installation and the development of supporting documentation.
- Lead initiatives to provide technical solutions to customers field representatives and the broader Innovation & Development organization.
- Provide strategic leadership to drive the enhancement of current product lines and the development of new product lines.
- Conceptualize and design technical solutions including the creation of 3D models and physical prototypes.
- Create system documentation including CAD drawing packages BOMs and manuals.
- Provide technical oversight throughout development efforts and production including the review of 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings.
- Research and define customer requirements and develop design and run equipment testing and training to ensure commercial success of new solutions.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Sales and Supply Chain to implement solutions regionally and globally.
- Work with the Supply Chain organization to improve the manufacturability of our equipment solutions and the strength of our current portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline; Masters degree in a technical discipline is a benefit.
- Proficient in 3D design of complex electromechanical systems and automation solutions.
- Broad technical knowledge and hands on experience in functional area(s).
- Proven track record of opportunity identification and translating ideas into commercial success.
- Demonstrated history of meeting technical challenges with creative and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated history of professional and technical leadership.
- Experienced in onsite installation and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication of technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Demonstrated success in managing competing priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and project management software.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with project management philosophies and application.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team generating results with minimal guidance from management.
- Ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers and provide a high level of customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a work ethic that corresponds with CardMonroes core values.
