At Flagship Restaurant Group we believe creative doesnt just belong in campaigns it lives in every touchpoint especially our menus. We do all our design inhouse from branding to storytelling to menu systems across 14 brands and 50 restaurants (and counting). We move fast collaborate often and never shy away from a challenge.
Were looking for a Creative Operations Designer with a strong operational mindset and a project management focus to lead our menu process while having the creative spirit to bring innovation to all areas of our design projects. This role is for someone who thrives on structure and design equally someone who knows that behind every beautiful menu is a precise system and a sharp eye. While the primary focus is menu design the Creative Operations Designers role offers the opportunity to collaborate on a wide range of creative projects. Reporting to our Senior Designer youll also get to show off your innovative creativity on brand projects campaigns and anything else that needs your design magic.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Menus are the heartbeat of our guest experience and youll be the pulse behind them. Youll manage the endtoend design process for menus across our portfolio while also supporting broader design needs.
Heres what your daytoday might include:
Owning the full menu lifecycle: layout updates formatting proofing prepping files for print and managing timelines
Working crossfunctionally with chefs marketing and operations to ensure menu changes are accurate onbrand and on time
Maintaining brand consistency across formats (print digital inrestaurant signage)
Building and updating menu templates that can scale across 50 locations
Coordinating with print vendors and staying ahead of production needs
Collaborating with our Senior Designer on creating designs for print digital web and instore signage
Supporting seasonal rollouts new openings and brand refreshes from an operational design lens
Maintaining a clear organized system for tracking updates versions and approvals
Balancing quick turnarounds with high attention to detail and a project management mentality
Staying ahead of design trends especially in food hospitality and lifestyle and bringing that inspo to the table
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
A degree in graphic design or an equally impressive story of how you got here
Based in (or relocating to) Omaha
Someone who thrives in a fastpaced deadlinedriven detailheavy environment
Strong organization and communication skills as menu work is collaborative and precise
Experience working across multiple brands or clients bonus if its in hospitality lifestyle or CPG
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator Photoshop) and a solid understanding of design for both print and digital
Comfortable owning projects from concept to execution
Knows how to prep files like a pro including bleeds color modes and exports
Incredible attention to detail you dont let the small stuff slide
A selfstarter who doesnt wait to be told what to do you jump in ask questions and bring ideas
Must love collaborating learning and growing as a team
A clean thoughtful portfolio with a range of work that shows off your skillset
