Job Description
Job Title: R&D Product Engineer
Location: Claremont NC (Onsite MondayFriday)
Level: MidLevel
Reports To: Engineering Director
Company Overview:
We provide innovative fiber optic cable solutions for data centers enterprise businesses telecommunications cable television and residential broadband networks. Our Claremont NCbased R&D Fiber Cable Engineering team is growing and we are seeking a Product Engineer to contribute to the design and development of our fiber cable families including Premises Indoor/Outdoor and Outdoor cables.
This role collaborates closely with crossfunctional teams such as Product Management Field Application Engineering Operations Purchasing and Quality.
MustHave Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a related engineering field (e.g. Mechanical Electrical).
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering design experience.
- Proven experience in the fiber optic cable manufacturing industry specifically in designing fiber ribbons and ribbon fiber cables.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Analytical and creative approach to technical problemsolving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with manufacturing teams in a production environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% within the U.S.
