Job Description

PCTII Main PACU 
FullTime Night Shift; 3 12s 7pm7am
Baltimore Maryland

The Main PACU is a 28bay unit providing 24/7 specialized perianesthesia care to patients across the lifespan and spectrum of acuity 365 days a year. Vigilant pre and postoperative care is provided to inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery by more than 20 surgical and procedural services.  This teams versatility serves patients treated by a broad array of surgical and medical specialties providing a variety of clinical experiences for the lifelong learner. Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors airway management care of ventilated patients blood product administration and fluid resuscitation.

Located in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards you will not find a more vibrant place to work! 

Under the direction of professional nursing staff provides direct patient care. Takes vital signs checks surgical dressings aids patients with activities of daily living.  This role performs blood draws and collects specimen samples. Observes and collects data and communicates about the patients status in order to identify needs and provides needed care. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care services team.


Qualifications :

Education & Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Current Maryland state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) required.   
  3. One (1) year of previous experience preferred.
  4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
