Job Description
This role offers a range of $70000 to $80000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience education certifications and skills as well as geographic considerations.
We are searching for a Research Chemist at our stateoftheart Research & Development facility in West Chicago IL. If you are a chemist that enjoys solving problems and creating solutions in constantly growing and evolving market this position is a great opportunity for you!

As an R&D Chemist you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting issues with existing technologies as well as customer challenges
- Developing new waterbased technologies based on customer needs
- Evaluating raw materials and optimize formulations for costsavings opportunities
- Providing technical support to manufacturing
- Publishing project reports & other documents direct to sales & customers
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
Qualifications :
To perform your job as expected you will be required to:
- Have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or equivalent
- Knowledge of flexographic and gravure printing processes
- 5 or more years of water ink and/or coating formulation experience preferred
- Demonstrate strong math and science skills
- Be proficient with record keeping
- Have good and effective written reading comprehension and verbal skills
- Be able to interpret data and draw effective conclusions
In addition to these qualifications we will consider as a plus if you have:
- SAP experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
