Were looking for a handson Senior Platform Engineer to help us build a developer platform and improve the developer experience for our R&D teams.
This is not an infrastructure management role in disguise but infrastructure is still part of the picture. You will be designing and building a developer platform that enables selfservice for common R&D needs such as CI/CD pipelines Kubernetes cloud infrastructure and observability.
Youll play a key role in shaping the architecture building golden paths and driving standardisation across teams. This calls for both technical depth and the confidence to lead conversations and influence direction. You will have support of experienced engineers and stakeholders ready to collaborate and build this capability with you.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify best practices for CI/CD and infrastructure automation and implement shared components and patterns that enable teams to build their own pipelines in a consistent scalable way.
- Collaborate closely with WithSecure R&D teams to ensure platform solutions align with both technical and business needs.
- Prepare and deliver technical training sessions workshops and documentation to upskill R&D teams on platform tools workflows and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert and internal consultant supporting teams in adopting platform solutions effectively.
- Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for platform engineering initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior engineers fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
What are we looking for
- Handson experience in platform engineering with a strong focus on developer enablement automation and selfservice tooling.
- Solid software engineering background with the ability to design systems and write clean maintainable code.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using modern tools and practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive standardisation and influence technical direction across teams.
- Experience working with and/or building internal developer portals.
- Good English skills both written and spoken.
Bonus points
- Exposure to secure software development practices or working in a securityconscious organisation.
- Handson experience with Kubernetes AWS Dynatrace (or other observability tooling) and GitHub (including GitHub Actions).
- A pragmatic mindset you know when to build when to buy and when to simplify.
- Good selection of memes to post on our internal chat channels.
