Role overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in diesel generator systems and fuel storagepreferably from the oil & gas industry to assess and resolve ongoing issues related to fuel leakage and water ingress in fuel tanks.
The ideal candidate will have handson experience in diagnosing remediating and implementing longterm engineering solutions for diesel power systems in critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough site inspection and root cause analysis of diesel generator system and fuel tank integrity issues.
Investigate causes of fuel leakage water contamination and tank failures.
Recommend and implement technical solutions to prevent recurrence.
Review existing installations against industry standards and recommend improvements.
Supervise onsite works related to remediation and upgrades.
Provide detailed reports on findings solution proposals timelines and cost implications.
Advise on preventive maintenance strategies for longterm fuel system integrity.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 58 years of relevant experience with a focus on fuel systems diesel generators or bulk storage tanks.
Prior experience in oil & gas power generation or critical infrastructure sectors highly preferred.
Strong problemsolving and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently on complex systems.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
