The Team

While the Site Operations team sits within the Enterprise Data Organization the team plays a central role in creating a productive and efficient workplace for all S&P Global colleagues across Divisions and Functions in India. The Site Operations Team ensures smooth operations by collaborating at a global and regional level with the leadership teams and execution partners across all corporate functions and Divisions to ensure operational strategies are aligned to deliver on the business goals of S&P Global. A focus on driving efficient processes implementing bestinclass practices and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements as well as compliance expectations lies at the heart of this teams charter and enables the creation of world class experiences for colleagues inoffice and virtually in a costeffective manner.

The Role Impact

As a member of the India Site Management Team and the India Leadership Council and the Convenor of the Ahmedabad Site Leader Team the Site Leader for Ahmedabad is the S&P Global representative for the site. The role holder is expected to work with the leadership team members of all Divisions and Functions located in the site collaborate with all corporate functions (i.e. People Finance Audit Real Estate Global Security Digital Solutions Legal etc.) to drive execution of policies and engage with employees/PRGs/special initiatives groups to enable the creation of a worldclass experience for all S&P Global colleagues (across business entities) located in the site in a safe and compliant manner. The Site Lead is responsible for improving operational efficiency and driving cost savings through optimization of operations and the real estate footprint.

Role Responsibilities

  • Site strategy execution Drive effective implementation of annual goals and key initiatives e.g. site rebalancing while ensuring a People Forward approach process innovations and continuous improvement visvis employee safety and welfare site level welfare initiatives site capacity expansion programs in view of divisional / functional location strategy priorities in cases of M&A driving the integration of offices in the site new site setup for business reasons etc.
  • Risk management Ensure operational risks are identified and mitigated with no compliance breaches
  • Operations management Partner with functional teams to drive operational efficiency e.g. working with digital solutions on the IT infrastructure partnering with the people function to provide onground insights on benefits practices collaborating with the real estate and global security teams on office and employee safety protocols partnering with thirdparty vendors for daytoday site operations management etc
  • Providing inputs for DecisionMaking and Perception Management Liaise regularly with global stakeholders to ensure local market realities are considered as an input for decision making and before execution. Be the voice of change to ensure the enterprise is grounded in local operating realities
  • Fiduciary & Legal Oversight Manage all legal and financial obligations partner with the people team to ensure compliance with local laws and maintain budget governance
  • External Brand Ambassador for SPGI Represent the S&P Global brand in significant external forums and partnerships e.g. industry bodies key partnerships

Required skills experience and knowledge

  • 15 years of business and leadership experience including 10 years in people and process management in a complex matrix multicultural global organization
  • Strong financial acumen and program management skills
  • Desirable Knowledge of legal requirements and labour laws in the State and Country
  • Higher order execution skills and ability to deliver with speed and quality
  • Exceptional problemsolving communication influencing relationshipbuilding and conflictmanagement abilities
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and bring creative options to the table especially in complex areas
  • Ability to work across stakeholder groups and manage challenging situations internally and externally as a true ambassador of the S&P Global values
