As a Data Analyst for Targets Merch Data Analytics team youll:
A role withData Analytics (DA) means beinga partof the team that work in support of business teams leveraging business area knowledge business intelligence capabilities and analytical methods to deliver key insights and technology solutions that drive company business strategies.
This cover developing innovative business insights through robust statistical and analytical methods. The emphasis will be on ability to synthesize and communicate actionable insights and analysis recommendations to enable factbased business decisionmaking which is possible through a combination of technical skills and business understanding.
Requirements / About You:
Experience: Overall 26 years exp and relevant 13 years exp
Qualification:
TI : B.E. or Masters in Statistics /Econometrics/Mathematics equivalent
on experience to Structured Query Language (SQL) syntax including joins volatile tables and basic query tuning. And deep understanding of core DW/BI concepts.
2. Experience in at least 1 BI Visualization tool (i.e. Tableau Domo MSTR10 Qlik) with ability to learn additional vendor and proprietary visualizations tools.
3. Working knowledge of structured (i.e. Teradata Oracle Hive) and unstructured databases including Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
4. Exposure to R Python Hive or other opensource languages/database
5. Understanding of analytical techniques (like Regression Timeseries models Classification Techniques etc.) to discover and measure key business drivers
6. Git source code management & experience working in an agile environment
7. Problem solving skills
8. Selfmotivated and able to work in team settings in a fastpaced environment
9. Competent and curious to ask questions and learn to fill gaps
10. Good communication
11. Experience with Retail Merchandising Marketing will be strong addons
About you:
Fouryear degree or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated guest service interpersonal and followup skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective organizational skills
Proven problem solving critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
Flexible team player who learns quickly while adapting to evolving technology and processes
Ability to learn and navigate numerous unique systems; proficiency with MS Office Package
