Role description:

With AMP8 in mind we are actively recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEICA team. Youll join a dedicated team of professionals where youll contribute and apply your skills to stimulating projects in the clean water & wastewater sector both regionally and across the UK.

The role itself will sits within our Resilience Global Business Area. Our Resilience Business Area prides itself on protecting our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Around the world were feeling the effects climate change rapid urbanization loss of biodiversity. The rate at which were seeing largescale unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.

Role accountabilities:

• Ability to selfstart and work both independently and as a team member carrying out production and checking complex electrical detailed designs including calculations specifications reports and drawings.
• Supporting and / or Leading design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants pumping stations and ancillary assets.
• Ensuring safety of yourself and others through design leadership and actions.
• Technical delivery of multidisciplinary projects in a Design Lead capacity where assigned using latest digital design techniques.
• Identify and develop innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers
• Lead and coordinate work with multidisciplinary teams (e.g. process civil structural mechanical electrical and ICA)
• Establish and grow relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical commercial and progress matters
• Ensuring projects meet required technical legislative quality safety and environmental standards and objectives.
• Mentoring and performance development responsibility for assigned staff
• Capturing key project and technical knowledge including innovations.
• Promote MEICA team capability and achievements both internally and externally.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or other directly related degree
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IET InstMC or CIWEM or working towards and nearing application.
• Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects preferably related to water and wastewater industry.
• Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design
• Technical / Discipline Team leader with collaborative behaviours
• Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience
