Job Description

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Multi Media Designer to join our client who are a Successful Technical Manufacturing company . This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and busy bunch based in rural Cambridgeshire and close to Royston. This is full time permanent role working on site full time.

The role

The main purpose of the role is to work within the marketing and brand team to support the design and development of multimedia resources such as video presentations images graphics and animations as well as technical documentation supporting both instrument and sensor brands. To create interactive media and documentation for online and print which as used as sales and marketing tools and for training purposes.

Duties and Responsibility will include:

  • Create visually compelling animation and video content across various platforms including websites animations illustrations and interactive presentations for sales distributors and service centre
  • Produce eye catching visual assets including graphics illustrations and interactive 3D animations to drive engagement and storytelling to bring designs to life
  • Produce technical sales and marketing documentation to effectively communicate the business messages to its target audience
  • Create product and application presentations for sales teams and the distributor network
  • Produce instrument user manuals with technical content supplied
  • Assist with the design of exhibition stands with the display of products to the market
  • Ensure all marketing material documentation and multimedia assets follow company brand guidelines and objectives
  • Assist with the consistent use of technical terms throughout all marketing collateral
  • Creative input into marketing material and brand identity
  • Photography of instrumentation sensors and accessories
  • Create and maintain instrument software and firmware standards to ensure consistency between products
  • Ability with 3D modelling and working knowledge of Blender would be an advantage
  • Meet and liaise with team members across the wider organisation to discuss briefs requirements and and project progress
  • Creat regular flow of cohesive multimedia content in line with marketing plans
  • Keep uptodate with technological and software developments for the role
  • Hold on to dated versions/ records of media created ensuring latest versions are available publicly
  • Create translated versions of media where needed and keep copies up to date

The Person

For this role we are seeking someone with a combination of creative technical and interpersonal skills. A bachelors degree in Graphic design Multimedia Design or related field proficiency in industry standard software. A strong portfolio showcasing your work will be required

Tool Stack

Experience across a range of packages including Adobe Illustrator Adobe Creative Suite Indesign Adobe Photoshop Canva Dreamweaver Flash and Flash 3D Animator Apple Final Cut pro Avid audio production software. Working knowledge4 of Blender would also be advantageous

Other skills & Attributes:

  • Commercial freelance or agency experience with knowhow in technical environments
  • Good experience in creating and editing videos 2D and 3D animations and motions graphics
  • Creative and imaginative ideas and technical knowhow
  • Creative and logical approach to problem solving
  • Exceptional communication skills to work as part of a team and to communicate ideas effectively
  • An understanding of business and marketing
  • Good organisational and time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • The ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines
  • Possess a high initiative
  • Be able to write technical copy and scripts
  • Have good photographical skills
  • Have an interest in new technologies and the willingness to keep up to date with constant changes and developments

Details

This role is offered on a Fulltime permanent basis. The salary offered is depending on experience benefits. Remote working not considered.
