What is the role

The purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Engineering Team who coordinate design and maintain technical support to all regional departments and site based teams to enable the region to achieve its objectives and agreed goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help provide Engineering support and technical guidance for regional site and office based operations
• Helping to produce designs in agreed timescales to ensure regional targets are achieved.
• Utility designs
• Assisting in the production of all engineering drawings for start on site including infrastructure foundations and any remediation proposals
• Building Regulation/CML issues
• Interact closely with design and planning team to deliver planning consents
• Working closely with the Architectural Team in order to satisfactory resolve engineering issues as part of planning applications
• Help to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Statutory Authorities.
• Maintain documentation for the standard product portfolio.
• Preparation and coordination of Legal Conveyance Plans.
• Assistance in the preparation of Land Appraisal Viabilities

What experience do I need

• Construction and the Built Environment or Civil Engineering and have a keen interest in engineering design.
• Ideally undertaking/has undertaken a Construction Related Course such as
• Computer literate with a good knowledge of Excel and Word. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be ideal.
• Uses Own initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to agreed timescales.
• Ability to work in a team and as an individual.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to visualise a problem and look to solve it.
• Attend Day Release College/University in order to obtain a Construction related HNC or Degree
• Must undertake continuous professional development.
• Must have AC grades in Mathematics English and Science.
