Job title: Commercial New Business Underwriter Property & Casualty
Salary: 40000
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid 3 days in office)
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lawes Consulting Group is working with a forwardthinking insurer to find a dynamic P&C Commercial Underwriter to join their Glasgow team. This is a great chance to drive growth and shape how new business is written in the midmarket space. If youre confident with brokers and commercially switched on this ones for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite profitable new business across Property & Casualty lines
- Build strong lasting broker relationships to drive success
- Make confident datainformed decisions at pace
- Actively contribute to team performance and market visibility
- Deliver against growth and service targets
DAYTODAY
- Meet and trade with brokers in person and online
- Assess and price new risks within underwriting authority
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver great service
- Track your pipeline stay on top of market trends and spot opportunities
- Use mobile tools and insights to inform decisions on the go
EXPERIENCE
- Solid P&C underwriting backgroundinsurer or broker side
- Comfortable with SME/midmarket risks
- Experienced in writing and negotiating new business
- Proven ability to work to targets in a trading role
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Strong technical knowledge of property and casualty products
- Confident communicator and natural relationship builder
- Commercially sharp with a focus on results
- Skilled at using data to back decisions
- Working toward or holding ACII is a bonus
