ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the W Lounge Manager for W Edinburgh the Head Bartender will have overall responsibility for directing the daily operation of the bar ensuring the bar team works together to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Joining the preopening team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel and the restaurants opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is creative motivated and passionate!

As W Lounge Head Bartender key aspects of your role will include:

• Help to recruit and retain the best talent on the market
• Assist in designing the beverage menu of the W Lounge in partnership with the Bars Manager
• Develop teamwork throughout your team as it grows
• Be a W brand ambassador ensuring the brands voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent
• Lead by example displaying the highest standards of hospitality to guests and talent
• Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and licensing
• Maintain food hygiene and sanitation standards
• Work in collaboration with the wider Beverage and Food team to ensure a successful hotel opening and beyond

Our ideal W Lounge Head Bartender is someone who has:

• Previous experience working in highend highvolume restaurants and/or bars
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to create memorable experiences for guests
• The ability to lead mentor and motivate others
• A positive mindset
• A genuine passion for working in hospitality
