LocalEyes is looking for an experienced and highly motivated In House Technical Translator to provide technical translations and adaptations for software.
You will work onsite as part of a dynamic team and in a fastpaced international environment. You will interact with other localization teams (onsite and offsite) as well as global engineering and QA teams.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Native in Finnish excellent written and spoken English IT skilled with knowledge/experience of CAT tools demonstrated management of style guides and language glossaries.
- Experience in translation of UI for highend software products and working with crossfunctional groups.
- Previous work experience in establishing terminology and style parameters for their respective language.
- IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools
- 1 3 years experience in the localization industry as translator for major IT account(s)
- Experience translating content containing embedded variables in an XML environment with a high comfort level in manipulating XML type tags during translation is a plus
- A proven ability to initiate and drive terminology decisions.
- Professional and clear communication skills with the ability to influence a positive outcome to terminology discussions.
- 100% fluency in English.
- Attention to detail and cultural differences.
- Expertise/high interest in information technology.
- Experience with translation tools.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent partnership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Large vocabulary literacy and crosscultural knowledge.
- Current and direct exposure to Finnish culture over a sustained period of time.
- Knowledgeable in and critical to multilingual and multicultural issues.
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting problem solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude to independently learn new technologies
- Selfmotivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
- Flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
- Works collaboratively and responsively with Colleagues Managers Production Centre and other stakeholders
- Obsessed by detail qualitydriven and has a passion for languages.
Education & Experience
Degree in Applied Linguistics Translation Culture & Literature and equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Experience with localization and internationalization.
- Excellent UX writing skills and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of structural aspects of the language (syntax semantics phonology phonetics).
- Experience in natural language processing and computational linguistics.
- Experience with a Programming language.
- Localization project management experience.
- QA experience
