Job Description

Clinical Operations Manager

We are currently looking for a Clinical Operations Manager at our Winnipeg base in the Clinical department.

Being a member of STARS Medical team means being a part of an elite healthcare team that provides lifesaving care to the most critically ill and injured members of our community. As a member of the Clinical Operations Leadership team the Clinical Operations Manager is responsible to ensure overall operational efficiency and safety of the air medical crews and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate as a member of the Clinical Operations Management Team supporting and/ or leading and implementing organizational clinical projects
  • Effectively manage team member performance
  • Responsible to ensure AMC meet continuing education and training requirements including induction training continuing education certifications current equipment medication policies and procedures including compliance with the critical care medical control protocols
  • Responsible to implement patient safety best practices and participate in clinical quality management and improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse or Advanced Care Paramedic
  • Postsecondary degree is an asset
  • Licensed in the applicable Province or capable of being licensed in that province
  • Current certification of STARS Advanced Skills Institute (ASI) and education requirements in good standing or equivalent certifications including ACLS ITLS/TNATC and PALS

Bona Fide Occupational Statement

  • All STARS Clinical Operations Manager roles are physically demanding and require overall strength flexibility and cardiovascular capabilities
  • All Clinical Operations Manager roles have bona fide occupational requirements e.g. physical standards that are integral to fulfilling the role. These are detailed in the Air Medical Crew Physical Demands Analysis that is shared during the recruitment selection process
  • All Clinical Operations Manager roles are required to wear personal protective equipment
