Job Description

TEACHER LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

ST. JOSEPHSCOLLARD HALL


1.0 FTE (Three Sections)

Grade 10 Academic Mathematics MPM2D

Grade 11 Foundations for College Mathematics MBF3C

Math ARC


Effective immediately
For an indefinite period but not to extend beyond June 27 2025


Mandatory Requirements:

Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate and Senior Divisions Mathematics


Preferred Requirements:

Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed division and subject area

Honours degree and/or subject qualification in Mathematics would be considered an asset.

Special Education Part I would be considered an asset.

Ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic education and integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations within the curriculum.

Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom as well as additional GSuite digital tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents

Demonstrated knowledge of how students learn effectively with a repertoire of proven instructional and assessment practices.

Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner.

Commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaboration around the schools Student Achievement Plan and Math Achievement Action Plan through schoolbased PLCs department meetings coplanning and coteaching.

Knowledge experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support effective instruction wellbeing equity and inclusion.

Flexibility to be assigned to other subject areas as the need arises.

Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.

Willingness to actively assume extracurricular duties.

Knowledge of and familiarity with the school community.
