About Company: Our client is a leading Building and Civil Engineering Construction firm headquartered in Ivory Coast with a strong footprint across West Africa. The company is renowned for its expertise in the design and execution of complex building and infrastructure projects delivering highquality construction solutions across the region.


The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Project Director who is bilingual (French and English) and has a proven track record of managing largescale building construction projects across Africa. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership strategic planning and execution capabilities to oversee complex construction initiatives from inception to completion


Job Summary:

The Project Director will lead the planning coordination and execution of a landmark social infrastructure development in Africa. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep experience in building and civil engineering construction capable of managing multidisciplinary teams stakeholders budgets and timelines to deliver a worldclass social center including a modern library cinema community spaces and supporting infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Strategic Oversight

Lead the endtoend delivery of the project from preconstruction through to commissioning and handover.

Set project goals define key milestones and ensure alignment with the company s strategic objectives.

Ensure that all aspects of the project meet quality cost time and safety expectations.


Planning & Coordination

Develop and implement detailed project plans including procurement scheduling and resource allocation.

Coordinate with architects engineers consultants contractors and regulatory bodies.

Facilitate smooth communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners.


Budget & Financial Management

Prepare and manage the project budget monitor expenditures and ensure costeffectiveness.

Oversee financial reporting cash flow management and approval of major procurement or contract decisions.


Risk & Compliance

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

Ensure the project complies with all local laws building codes environmental regulations and health and safety standards.


Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including local government agencies community leaders and donors or investors.

Represent the project in meetings presentations and public engagements ensuring transparency and alignment with community needs.


Team Leadership

Build mentor and manage a highperforming project team including project managers site engineers QS and HSE officers.

Foster a strong safety culture team accountability and a resultsdriven work environment.



Requirements

Essential:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or Architecture.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction project management including 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of delivering largescale public infrastructure or commercial building projects in Africa or similar contexts.

Strong knowledge of construction processes contract management (e.g. FIDIC) and project delivery methodologies.

Exceptional leadership communication negotiation and organizational skills.


Desirable:

Master s degree in Project Management Business Administration or related field.

PMP PRINCE2 or similar project management certification.

Experience working with international stakeholders or donorfunded projects.

Familiarity with local African construction regulations and environmental standards.
