About the position
Due to internal promotions Councils Community SafetyDepartment is looking for a Community Laws Officers who will be responsible to ensure Councils obligations and responsibilities with regard to the communitys compliance with State legislation and Local Laws are met and to assist in achieving the desired outcomes contained within the Council Plan in relation to Community Safety.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Investigate enquiries and complaints promote compliance and where necessary enforce the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct general public safety patrols throughout the municipality as required and action statutory breaches in accordance with legislation regulations in a timely manner.
- Undertake the collection of lost/stray animals within Councils timelines and standards
About you
- Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills
- Technological skills to fulfill the requirements of the position including animal handling
- Proven experience in regulatory enforcement or similar role
- Experience in dealing with conflict and stressful situations

This position is aBand 5A currently remunerated at $80750.44per annum plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
