Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for aged care looking to take on a key leadership role Were seeking a Nurse Consultant Aged Care to provide expert clinical guidance and leadership shaping the future of aged care services. About the Role:
The Nurse Consultant Aged Care will work across a variety of clinical settings offering specialist nursing expertise and clinical leadership in the Aged Care and Disability sectors. You will be responsible for delivering personcentred care by integrating evidencebased practices into your work to ensure highquality outcomes for consumers. In addition to providing advanced nursing care you will lead and mentor nursing teams offering guidance to less experienced staff and supporting their professional development.
You will also take on the coordination and leadership of clinical projects and programs that aim to improve consumer and service outcomes ensuring these initiatives align with best practices and are successfully executed. As you grow in the role you will develop your expertise in extended practice working towards becoming a recognised expert in your field through continuous learning postgraduate qualifications and mentoring.
In this position you will accept full accountability for your nursing practice outcomes providing expert professional advice and addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy. What Were Looking For:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds or who is eligible to hold a current practising certificate. Holds a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in wound management in accordance with the relevant standards.
- Experience in the supervision of students enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
- Will have experience in working with Aboriginal consumers.
