Job Description
- Actions cleaning duties within the kitchen food preparation areas and scullery.
- General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of pantry fridges and freezers.
- Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team.
- Maintain cleanliness and rotation of stock in pantry fridge and freezers.
- Assist with the receiving and storing of stock.
- Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
- Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitized clean and dry operational equipment.
- To count sort and prepare operating equipment as required.
- Ensure all equipment crockery cutlery & glassware is hygienically and safely stored.
- Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.
- Follow the regular cleaning rosters and standard procedures for deep cleaning of floors walls coolers ovens & operating equipment.
- To contribute to cost control through energy conservation and the careful use of water cleaning materials and other appliances.
- Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift. Utilize safe and hygienic methods for the removal of dry and wet waste.
- Complete all duties and ensure a concise hand over.
Qualifications :
- Chemical handling experience & understanding of safe work practices preferred.
- Service oriented with an eye for detail.
- Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Selfmotivated and energetic.
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations
- Confident and articulate communication negotiation relationship and networking skills
- Time management skills with the ability to multitask
