About this opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and proactive HSES professional to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by connecting sitelevel operations with divisional and grouplevel HSES initiatives. Youll play a key role in implementing our Group HSES Systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian health safety environmental and sustainability standards.
This position supports two of our sites Wacol & Sumner park
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards assess risks and implement effective corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance and support to both management and team members on all HSES matters.
- Lead thorough and timely incident investigations ensuring compliance with Australian legislative requirements.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and industry standards updating policies and procedures accordingly.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs to build awareness and capability in HSES practices across the workforce.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role youll have:
- Proven experience in HSES management within a manufacturing or industrial environment in Australia.
- Strong knowledge of Australian HSES legislation and best practices.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- A proactive solutionsfocused mindset and the confidence to lead crossfunctional teams.
- Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications :
- A Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety Sustainability or a related fieldor equivalent practical experience.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety is highly regarded.
- Additional training or certifications aligned with Australian manufacturing standards (e.g. WHS Act AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018) are advantageous.
