Job Description

Overview
The Service/Test Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of equipment and systems within the organization. This position involves diagnosing issues implementing solutions and performing rigorous testing procedures. The technician works closely with other team members to maintain quality standards and uphold safety protocols. Their expertise is central to minimizing downtime optimizing performance and supporting the company s commitment to excellence. By identifying potential failures and ensuring that devices meet both customer and company specifications the Service/Test Technician directly impacts the organizations operational efficiency and customer satisfaction levels. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge analytical skills and handson experience making it vital in a fastpaced technologydriven environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on various testing equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Document all service and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify product issues and implement solutions.
  • Assist with the design and improvement of testing processes and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Test new equipment and systems for performance and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed reports on equipment status and recommended repairs.
  • Inventory and order parts and supplies as needed for repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all testing and maintenance operations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service undertaken and troubleshooting process.
  • Monitor and report on equipment performance trends for proactive maintenance.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support or service role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as necessary.
  • Valid driver s license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • Certifications in relevant technical fields are a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
