Job Description
Position: Experienced TIG/Flux Core Welder
Location:Joplin MO
Pay Rate:$23.00 $35.00/hr (DOE)
Shifts Available:1st and 2nd Shift

Job Description:
We are seekingexperienced TIG/Flux Core Weldersto join our clients team in Joplin MO. These positions offercompetitive payand the potential fortemptohire or direct hireplacement. Candidates must have experience withMIG TIG and Flux Core welding preferably in allpositions 2G 3G 4G 5G 6G) and must be able to pass a weld test.
TheWelderwill lay out align and weldfabricated cast and forgedcomponents to assemblestructural forms such asmachinery frames tanks pressure vessels furnace shells buildings and pipes followingblueprints and metallurgy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Select type and size of pipe and equipment planninglayouts assembly and weldingbased ongeometry material properties and welding techniques.
UtilizeGasMetal Arc FluxCored Arc GasTungsten Arc Submerged Arc or Shielded Metal Arc welding processesas required.
Lay out position align and fit components together usingbolts clamps and arc welding equipment.
Weldpiping systems plate pipe tube and structural componentsinflat horizontal vertical or overheadpositions.
Connect and adjust welding cables for properamperage voltage slope and pulseas per specifications.
Guide electrode or welding gun along theweld line ensuring correctarc length speed and fusion depth.
Performtack welding manual application of filler rod degreasing of weld joints andgrinding or chemical cleaningas necessary.
Repairbroken or cracked partsandremove excess weld defective material slag and spatterusinggrinders gougers or sers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Technical Certification(company qualification tests) orNCCER certification preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience inwelding fabrication or a related field.
Strong understanding ofwelding techniques practices and procedures.
Ability tocertify on multiprocess pipe welding.
Proficiency inSMAW GTAW and GMAW welding processes.
Ability toread blueprints visualize objects in 3D and interpret technical drawings.
Capable ofmeeting xray quality welding standards.
Strongmathematical skillsfor precise measurements and calculations.
Ability toplan work select proper tools and maintain accuracy in welding operations.
Must be able to followinstructions safety procedures and industry best practices.
