Job Description
HM Note: This hybrid contract role is three 3 days in office. Candidates resume must include first and last name.
Description
Responsibilities: and nbsp;
Provides advice on the testing strategy test plans the selection of testing tools and the identification of resources required for testing and nbsp;
Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and nonGraphical User Interface (GUI) environments including the of systems integration tests specialized tests and user acceptance testing (e.g. stress tests) and nbsp;
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the development of test plans test scripts and test cases and executing these against the various components. The tester will work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis design development implementation and ongoing support of the required systems and nbsp;
General Skills: and nbsp;
Experience in planning organizing and implementing testing efforts at the specified experience level and nbsp;
Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development design implementation and maintenance of applications and nbsp;
Knowledge and experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and data query tools to aid in the development of test cases and nbsp;
Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms and nbsp;
Experience executing functional tests nonfunctional tests and systems level integration tests and nbsp;
Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities and nbsp;
Experience with quality assurance principles practices tools and structured methodologies and nbsp;
Experience creating testing strategy documentation test plans test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing including technical and business functional validation and nbsp;
Experience in quality assurance and testing including unit testing integration testing load testing performance testing etc. and nbsp;
Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle and nbsp;
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; organizational creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills and nbsp;
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools and nbsp;

Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language and nbsp;
Experience in the use of information retrieval packages and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an objectoriented environment and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices. and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards and nbsp;
Experience planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems and nbsp;
Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases and nbsp;
Experience testing Commercial Offthe Shelf Applications (COTS)

Software Testing Experience 35 and nbsp;
8 years of experience working as a Software QA Tester and nbsp;
5 years of experience testing a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Application and nbsp;
Experience testing Oracle Siebel CRM application is a strong asset and nbsp;
Experience working on Siebel Test Automation is an asset and nbsp;
Experience testing Adobe AEM is an asset and nbsp;
Displays an understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and nbsp;
Displays an understanding of PM Methodologies like Agile and Waterfall. and nbsp;
Technical Skills 20 and nbsp;
Experience with defect tracking tool like Jira / Azure DevOps and nbsp;
Strong understanding of defect management life cycle and nbsp;
Demonstrates an experience of proper Documentation of Test Cases / Test Plans and nbsp;
Working knowledge and experience of QMetry is an asset and nbsp;
Working experience of an automation tool (GUI and API is an asset and nbsp;
Ability to write and understand SQL is an asset and nbsp;
Ability to understand data models is an asset and nbsp;
Ability to understand Java and Javascript is an asset and nbsp;

Public Sector Experience 5 and nbsp;
Experience with Siebel modules such as Public Sector CRM Contracts Lead Management Partner Public Sector Partner Portal Campaign Management Marketing Resource Manager and Public Sector eService would be an asset and nbsp;
Experience with Case Management would be an asset. and nbsp;
Must Have:
8 years of experience working as a Software QA Tester and nbsp;
