Job Description

Job Title: Parent and Student Engagement LiaisonReports to: Campus AdministratorAssignment: Assigned Campus/GradeWage/Hour Status: ExemptPay Grade: 220 days $Date Revised: 2025.5.8Terms of EmploymentThis FLSA exempt position (salaried nonhourly) is on a work calendar of 220 days per school year. Pay is based on years of experience and pay range established for this Purpose:The Parent and Student Engagement Lead plays a vital role in fostering strong partnerships between the school parents/guardians and students to promote student success and a positive school climate. This position is responsible for developing implementing and evaluating strategies and programs that actively involve families in their childrens education and empower students to be active participants in their learning journey. The Lead will work collaboratively with school staff families and community organizations to build trust enhance communication and provide resources that support academic achievement socialemotional wellbeing and overall student development and may extend to districtwide degree (Masters degree preferred).Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful engagement understanding of child development family dynamics and community communication interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Ability to build rapport and trust with parents students and organizational and time management in using technology for communication data collection and program to work independently and as part of a competency and sensitivity to diverse of three years of experience working with families and/or students in an educational or community Knowledge/SkillsGeneral knowledge of curriculum and instruction outcomes specifically at ACAAbility to instruct students and manage their behaviorStrong organizational communication and interpersonal skillsMajor Responsibilities and Duties(The following statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities skills efforts or working conditions that may be assigned or skills that may be required.)Student Registration and RecruitmentManage the student registration process ensuring accurate and timely enrollment of new students. Collect and maintain student records in compliance with district policies and state regulations. Assist families with completing registration forms and providing required documentation. Provide information to prospective families about the schools programs services and enrollment procedures. Participate in student recruitment activities such as school fairs and community events. Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain students. Coordinate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition for new students. Maintain accurate records of student enrollment and Engagement InitiativesDevelop organize and facilitate workshops events and activities that inform and engage parents/guardians in their childrens learning school programs and school decisionmaking processes such as parentteacher conferences family nights academic support workshops and volunteer opportunities enrollment and registration and Outreach Serve as a key point of contact for parents/guardians ensuring clear consistent and culturally sensitive communication through various channels (e.g. newsletters websites phone calls meetings). Proactively reach out to families to build relationships and address Engagement ProgramsCollaborate with teachers and counselors to develop and implement programs that enhance student motivation participation and leadership within the school community. This may include organizing facilitating and/or coordinating field trips cocurricular and extracurricular programming or any programming that promotes a positive school and CoordinationWork closely with teachers administrators counselors social workers and other school staff to align engagement efforts with schoolwide goals and initiatives. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for family and student Collection and EvaluationCollect data on parent and student engagement activities and outcomes. Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports as Identification and MitigationIdentify and address barriers that may hinder parent and student involvement such as language cultural differences socioeconomic factors or transportation issues.
