Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Backend Solution Architect with a blend of deep passion in fashion and a drive for innovation to join our vibrant and rapidly growing Portfolio Brands tech team!
WHAT YOULL DO
As a Backend Solution Architect you will play a critical role in guiding engineering teams on best practices evaluating and implementing technologies and ensuring alignment between technical decisions and business goals. In this role you will collaborate with creative minds and technical experts to deliver seamless scalable and inspiring experiences across multiple fashion brands.
In a dynamic and designdriven environment your architectural vision will help ensure that our systems support not only operational excellence but also the creativity and individuality that define each of our brands.
You will:
- Design and evolve the backend architecture of a highscale eCommerce platform with a strong focus on performance scalability and availability.
- Define architecture guidelines and establish best practices for backend services and APIs.
- Drive cloudnative solutions using Azure (preferred) or other cloud providers (GCP).
- Lead the adoption and implementation of eventdriven architecture ensuring loosely coupled resilient systems.
- Collaborate with engineering product and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of backend services.
- Provide technical leadership across teams reviewing code and architecture designs to ensure highquality delivery.
- Own architectural decisions for systems involving SQL/NoSQL databases Redis Kafka Solace and other backend technologies.
- Lead initiatives for backend modernization microservices migration and platform scalability.
- Ensure security compliance and maintainability in backend systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies frameworks and tools.

You will contribute to the evolution of a fashion ecosystem that prioritizes growth sustainability andtechnological advancement ensuring our brands remain not only relevant but ahead of the curve.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with
- 10 years of experience in backend engineering with at least 3 years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role.
- Strong experience in designing and building systems using .NET (C#) or other backend stacks such as Java or .
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture especially with Microsoft Azure (App Services AKS Functions Storage Service Bus etc.).
- Proven experience in eventdriven architectures using technologies like Kafka Solace or Azure Event Hubs.
- Solid understanding of microservices API design REST/gRPC and service meshes.
- Strong experience with both SQL (e.g. SQL Server PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. Cosmos DB MongoDB).
- Knowledge of caching strategies using Redis or similar technologies.
- Experience in integration patterns synchronous/asynchronous pubsub middleware etc.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
- eCommerce domain experience.
- Experience in building headless commerce systems.
- Knowledge of observability tools (e.g. Application Insights Prometheus Grafana).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
