Job Description
About the role
As a General Ledger Accountant youll do more than just crunch numbers. Youll play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting our organizations overall financial health. You will be contributing to monthend quarterend and yearend close processes and provide support during both internal and external audits. It goes without saying that you stay updated on regulatory requirements and implement best practices in accounting. Furthermore you are keen on improving general ledger processes and you proactively participate in updating our financial systems.
About your tasks:
- Ensure accurate financial records by preparing journal entries with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist in monthend and yearend closing activities by preparing supporting documentation for balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Take ownership of the fixed assets register serving as the primary point of contact for updates reconciliations and reporting.
- Analyze general ledger accounts to validate journal entries and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations by maintaining timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide essential support to the Senior General Ledger Accountant in daily operations and financial processes.
- Manage discount invoices efficiently ensuring accurate preparation and timely followup.
Qualifications :
About you
- You hold a Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field equipping you with a strong foundation in financial principles.
- You have at least one year of experience in a financerelated role within an international company giving you exposure to crossborder financial operations.
- You are comfortable working with ERP systems and financial software ideally in an ecommerce environment where agility and accuracy are key.
- A techsavvy mindset comes naturally to youyoure confident navigating multiple systems and tools to optimize efficiency.
- You have excellent English communication skills allowing you to collaborate effectively in a global team. Since many of our colleagues speak German proficiency in German would be a plus.
