Job Summary/Description:
Seeking a producing career that provides opportunities to create content for both onair and digital platforms KWTX the dominant CBS station in Central Texas on all platforms is seeking a producer who displays creativity and consistency in producing newscasts and digital programming. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced producers to see your expertise and creative ideas come to life on traditional and notsotraditional programming platforms. The ideal candidate will have a desire to produce both onair and digital content for our live streaming platform KWTXtra.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coproduce and booth newscasts as needed
Coproduce and booth 4 pm show
Schedule and book guest appearances
Create social media and website posts
Record and edit segments for broadcast
Create original graphics and visual elements for onair and digital platforms
Produce live streaming and recorded content for KWTXtra
Operate OTT and CTV equipment in the KWTXtra studio
Serve as a host/anchor for CTV/OTT programming on KWTXtra
Qualifications/Requirements:
Some previous news experience
Strong news judgment
Planning skills that have you always seeking the next big topic
Creative thinker with a desire to present information in new formats with engaging visuals
Excellent writing shooting editing and producing skills
Ability to multitask and be calm and decisive under pressure
Degree in journalism or related field or equivalent professional experience
Valid drivers License with a good driving record
Experience with Edius ENPS and Canva is desired
