Job Description

Amazon is seeking a datadriven Financial Analyst to support the Vendor Investigations and Transactions Accuracy team in Accounts Payable. We are looking for a strong leader that will take ownership and drive change in a dynamic global business environment using data analytic techniques that allow leaders to organize and review large amounts of data quickly. This individual will ensure Amazons Finance Operations processes stay ahead of risks in the vendor payments area including internal control effectiveness erroneous payment detection and prevention and vendor risk analysis through a culture of continuous inspection of processes systems and key business initiatives. This individual must be eager to dive deep into processes and have a proven record of delivering process efficiency results. The preferred candidate will have data analysis and auditing skills problem solving skills systems and process knowledge and customer service passion.
This individual must have the ability to dive deep into vendor data using data mining tools such as SQL or Python quickly derive patterns and assumptions from the data to identify inefficiencies in the tools and processes and recommend controls to remediate the same. The candidate must have the ability to work independently while influencing team members and stakeholders to achieve the process objectives.


Key job responsibilities
Program Management:
1. Develop and execute program strategies and roadmaps
2. Manage multiple projects while tracking metrics KPIs and deliverables
3. Manage program budgets resources and risk mitigation
4. Drive effective team collaboration and crossdepartmental relationships
5. Present program updates and maintain stakeholder communications
6. Facilitate team meetings workshops and knowledge sharing
7. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

People Management:
1. Lead team development including performance reviews and goal setting
2. Manage workforce planning capacity and recruitment processes
3. Conduct regular 1:1s and facilitate career development conversations
4. Handle team dynamics and conflict resolution effectively
5. Provide mentorship and coaching to team members

Bachelors degree or equivalent

3 years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
Experience with SQL and Excel
