Job Description
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations the Associate Director of Philanthropic Engagement is a key member of the Development and Alumni Engagement team and create executes and manages major highlevel leadership planned and principal gift pipeline development and qualification goals of the division by increasing the number of prospects who can support the institution. This role supports and integrates overall strategic objections and operational goals critical to functional areas.
The Associate Director of Philanthropic Engagement manages a large portfolio of potential leadership giving and major gift donors. This position determines prospects interests and provides vital information that aligns their interests to deepen their connection to the university connects them to engagement opportunities and qualifies them for future major giving capacity. This position takes a lead role ensuring the universitys fundraising efforts are focused on the most promising potential donors and ambassadors and also cultivates and solicits qualified prospects who are capable of making gifts of $1000 or more.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates and manages a highlevel leadership major planned and principal gift pipeline development program in a portfolio of 1000 prioritized prospects who have potential.
Sets strategy for and manages direction to determine a prospects interests to align them with the Universitys funding priorities and connects prospects with engagement opportunities that deepen their involvement with the University.
Connects prospects to development colleagues as appropriate to ensure a seamless transition in their relationship with the University.
Manages implementation of a multichannel approach to communicate with prospects. Sets goals and objectives to effectively perform up to 50 touchpoints per day.
Collaborate with the Director of Donor Relations to develop action plans to achieve agreedupon weekly monthly and quarterly metrics. Continuously review and evaluate plans to develop and implement improved methods as required. Establish key performance indicators.
Develop reporting regarding pipeline development activity and progress. Compile summarize and analyze statistical and other data; prepare clear accurate informative reports containing findings conclusions and recommendations.
Provide updates to biographical data and communications preferences learned through outreach with Advancement Services to strengthen the quality of data in the CRM database.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of four years of professional experience with a proven track record in higher education sales or related field.
Ability to prioritize and organize complex projects in a fastpaced highvolume environment
Resultsoriented selfmotivated qualitydriven and teamoriented.
Excellent customer service expertise interpersonal (verbal written and listening) skills and ability to build a rapport with donors.
Ability to manage workload between multiple cloudbased platforms and ability to understand and analyze donor performance metrics.
Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with a wide spectrum of individuals.
PREFERRED:
Experience calling conducting virtual and facetoface appointments managing relationships creating and presenting proposals and other fundamental elements of client/donor relationships or salesrelated activities.
High degree of grit resilience and a desire to challenge the status quo.
Must be savvy with technology tools and have the ability to work with multiple databases in a highvolume customer service atmosphere with a can do attitude.
