DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Collects and counts revenue from various drop sources per MIC and departmental guidelines.
- Counts sorts and organizes all currency coins coupons chips and paperwork from the drop containers.
- Retrieves drop boxes from the storage area and appropriately stores all boxes and carts.
- Loads currency counters utilizes the counter interface and collects sorts and reconciles counted funds.
- Straps and handstamps money bundles.
- Totals all cash coins chips coupons and other monies and reconciling documents by shift and by day/date.
- Enters count information into various PCbased applications.Printing signing all reconciling documents and verifying their accuracy.
- Loads appropriate boxes into carts and pushes/pulls carts to designated areas for transportation to the casino floor.
- When a slot machine is being played at the time of bill validator drop use excellent guest service skills to ensure the guests satisfaction.
- Accounts for all Count Room keys and ensures compliance with MIC requirements.
- Sorts counts rolls coins and delivers to the Cashier department.
- Collects and weighs tokens from arcade machines.Returns counted tokens to arcade change machines.
- Collects and counts currency from arcade change machines and takes meter readings.
- Completes all paperwork accurately and delivers it to the appropriate department promptly including scanning of all relevant documentation.
- Responsible for the loading of coins/currency and count of dropped funds for all the casino floor ticket redemption kiosks
- Communicate with other departments and the Gaming Control Board to coordinate drop and count schedules.
- Communicates currency counter maintenance requests to vendor technicians and IT service requests.
- Utilizes a pager to answer service requests from other departments as well as initiate and respond to internal communications with other Count Room employees.
- Maintains the Count Room in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Monitors supply levels and requests supply orders
- Follows safety and security guidelines and adheres to department procedures.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma required. Any combination of education training or experience provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Minimum of 12 years related experience required.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear friendly and confident manner.
- Must get along with fellow team members and work as a team.
- Must present a wellgroomed appearance.
- Must be selfmotivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
- Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate recordkeeping.
- Excellent customer service skills are a must.
- Ability to obtain/renew all governmentrequired licenses or certifications specifically a Virginia Lottery Gaming Permit License
PHYSICAL MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
- Good manual dexterity to accurately handle cash tickets and racks of gaming chips.
- Ability to stand for long periods and pull lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs.
- Push and pull heavy carts up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working with a team in a small locked and secure room.
- Must be able to work in a highly populated fastpaced environment.
- Must be able to work in an environment with bright lights loud music and varied temperatures.
- Be aware that surveillance cameras monitor the premises recording activity throughout the property on a 24hour 7 days per week basis.
