Overview:
Reporting to the Training Supervisor the Community Wellness Instructor provides a variety of trainings to all agency staff and community partners. The position will be responsible for facilitating evidencebased training programs including but not limited to Professional Assault Crisis Training (ProACT) Question Persuade Refer (Q.P.R): Suicide Prevention Trauma Informed Care Motivational Interviewing CPR and other related trainings for agency employees resource families and other interested parties working with atrisk children youth and adults.
The Community Wellness Instructor will manage the activities involved in the design development and production of training curriculums materials and learning resources to ensure consistency and quality of content and delivery to meet the needs of the training program. This position is responsible for preparing lessons and other instructional materials to meet individual needs of class participants.
This role consults with other trainers managers and leadership to address training needs/requests and will coordinate projects resulting from inquiries.
The ideal candidate has experience facilitating formal trainings to diverse populations knowledge of how to execute successful training programs and familiarity with traditional and modern training methods. The candidate should consider themselves a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is uptodate on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors degree in behavioral health science and/or at least four (4) years of experience/equivalent (FTE) experience in a mental healthrelated field providing direct mental health services. Minimum requirement of two (2) years of actual work experience.
Two (2) years of the four (4) years of experience can be substituted by years of education
** in a mental healthrelated field or by completion of the County Core Skills Training.
**The education requirement must be a minimum of two (2) years of education (60 semester or 90 quarter units) with a minimum of 12 semesters (18 quarter units) in mental healthrelated subject areas such as child development social work human behavior rehabilitation psychology or alcohol and drug counseling.
**Must be able to provide written verification of experience upon hire.
**Two years of grant operations experience.
