About the Role
The Counsellor Educators role is to provide proficient culturally secure case management assessment group facilitation education and support to consumers and their families and the local community. The primary focus of the role is to assess suitability for treatment within one of Cyrenian Houses residential therapeutic communities as well as offering case management support along with group facilitation. The Counsellor Educator will possess a sound level of clinical knowledge and skills together with wellestablished work practices that exercise initiative and sound judgment.

Hours of Work
Working fulltime 76 hours per fortnight.
The position is level 4/5 $93490 $110413 per annum (depending on experience) plus superannuation and salary packaging options available.
To be considered for these positions you will require the following key attributes:
- A degree in social behavioural or health sciences or equivalent experience in the alcohol and drug sector.
- Well demonstrated and welldeveloped assessment and counselling skills.
- Proven experience in working with consumers experiencing issues related to alcohol and other drug use.
- Welldeveloped selfmanagement skills to cope with difficult cases and manage stress.
- Knowledge of services and community resources relevant to the needs of the consumer group.
- Experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication.
- Experience in delivering education and training programs to human service providers and community groups.
- Full work rights National Police Clearance current First Aid Certificate and full Drivers Licence.
