Job Description

The Role:

As a Principal HRIS Analyst Workday HCM at Moderna you will lead the design configuration and continuous improvement of Workday solutions across Payroll Time Tracking Absence as well as Compensation Reporting and Integrations. Youll collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to deliver scalable compliant solutions that drive business efficiency. Were seeking a highly motivated expert with a strong track record supporting complex Workday environments in fastpaced highgrowth settings.

Heres What Youll Do:

  • Lead the configuration and delivery of Workday solutions for Payroll Time Tracking Absence and Compensation (Core and Advanced).

  • Serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert across assigned Workday modules.

  • Support crossfunctional initiatives involving Workday security integrations and enterprise reporting.

  • Drive continuous improvement through process redesign configuration optimization and adoption of Workday best practices.

  • Ensure scalable maintainable configurations that meet global and local compliance requirements.

  • Own Workday release management including research testing and deployment of new features.

  • Advise business stakeholders on solution design system capabilities and configuration impacts.

  • Manage work independently with proactive status updates issue resolution and timeline ownership.

  • Collaborate across HR IT and business functions to drive integrated solutions.

  • Communicate clearly to ensure alignment on timelines risks and outcomes.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Human Resources or a related field.

  • 7 years of handson Workday configuration and solution delivery experience.

  • Deep expertise in Workday Payroll Time Tracking and Absence modules.

  • Experience with Reporting Integrations and Core/Advanced Compensation.

  • Workday Pro or former Workday implementer certification ideally in Payroll Time Tracking Absence and Advanced Reporting; additional certifications in Core HCM and Compensation are a plus.

  • Experience supporting global Workday environments including compliance with multicountry regulatory requirements.

  • Additional certifications in Absence Payroll or Time Tracking (if not already held).

  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with both technical and nontechnical teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and comfort working in a fastpaced agile environment.

  • Proven problemsolving skills with a focus on scalable sustainable solutions.

  • Familiarity with agile frameworks and tools (e.g. JIRA) to manage delivery and releases.
