Overview
About the Role
TheQAPI Coordinatorsupports and oversees quality and performance improvement initiatives under the guidance of hospital quality leadership. This role ensures alignment between departmental improvement efforts and the hospital-wide quality program fostering transparency effective reporting and clear communication among staff executives and the Board. The coordinator also ensures compliance with CMS and other regulatory standards analyzes quality metrics and facilitates targeted improvement strategies.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do
- Coordinates quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives under the guidance of hospital quality leadership.
- Ensures alignment between departmental improvement efforts and the hospital-wide quality program.
- Promotes transparency and facilitates effective reporting and communication among staff executives and the Board.
- Maintains compliance with CMS standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Leads and supports performance improvement projects to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
What Youll Bring
- Active RN license to practice in New Jersey and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience including at least two (2) years in quality and performance improvement
- Strong knowledge of quality and safety methodologies
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong project management and customer service abilities
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Lean methodology training preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education training and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is PS-34S: $106366.00 - $128859.00 - $153944.00 per year in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
