Job Description
Overview
Under the direction of the Plant Operation Supervisor this position requires a technical knowledge of construction preparation of walls applying vinyl and other types of wall coverings installation of ceilings and application of various paints and paint products. It also requires a general knowledge of building maintenance. Knowledge of safety equipment to maintain these systems as well as safety equipment used in health care facilities. The incumbent will work from blueprints and use and maintain hand and power tools.

Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for preparation of surfaces prior to application of paint vinyl and other wall and surface coverings.
- Will apply vinyl ceramic tile paint varnish stains enamels or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces trimmings and fixtures in all areas of the hospital.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position with demonstrated skills in trimming painting and staining techniques.
- Must also have a valid Iowa drivers license.
- Successful applicant will have good vision and color perception and be attentive to detail.
