Job Description

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Creates and maintains highquality documentation related to systems internals and troubleshooting procedures.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and3 years applied experience
- Strong Python development skills and track record of successful delivery of largescale projects
- Good grasp of modern Python 3 features and best practices.
- Ability to quickly understand existing Python and SQL code bases and turn around fixes and enhancements.
- Experience using relational database systems such as Sybase MS SQL Server or Oracle
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries. Ability to troubleshoot nonperformant SQL and identity opportunities for performance improvements.
- Some familiarity with Linux command line.
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a largescale enterprise level applications
- Strong understanding of Data Structures algorithms and its uses
- Experience with the Pandas ecosystem
- Collaborate with stakeholders in crossprojects and team settings to identify and clarify business or product questions to answer
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of AWS and /or Databricks would be a plus
