Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and mechanically skilled Teardown Mechanic to join our team for the disassembly of complex robotic cells and automated systems. This role involves handson mechanical and electrical work including the safe teardown labeling and preparation of components for transport refurbishment or repurposing. The ideal candidate will have experience with automation systems strong mechanical aptitude and a safetyfirst mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble robotic cells automation equipment conveyors fixtures safety systems and associated components
  • Follow teardown procedures and diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient disassembly
  • Label tag and organize parts for storage transport or reassembly
  • Use hand tools power tools lifting equipment and rigging devices safely
  • Work with electricians and controls technicians to disconnect power and I/O systems
  • Document work performed and condition of parts and report damaged or worn components
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas during and after teardown
  • Adhere to all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) PPE usage and hazard identification
  • Collaborate with project managers engineers and technicians to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May occasionally be required to work overtime including morning shift or weekend as necessary to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred
  • 2 years of experience in mechanical disassembly industrial maintenance or machinery teardown
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings layouts and basic schematics
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools power tools and basic measurement instruments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts when needed
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
