Job Description
The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will work within an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders secondary to complex medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy spina bifida cerebral palsy acquired/traumatic brain injury genetic conditions hematology/oncology conditions affecting the central nervous system prenatal/neonatal risk factors etc.).
Education: PhD/ PsyD in Clinical or School Psychology from an APAaccredited university.
Training: Clinical internship (one year) in Pediatric Psychology (with an emphasis in neuropsychology) or related psychology discipline (APAaccredited program highly preferred).Postdoctoral fellowship (two years) in Pediatric Neuropsychology.
Licensure: Current and unrestricted license (or licenseeligible) from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
1. Clinical Activities
a. Provides direct patient care including neuro/psychological evaluations feedback visits psychotherapy cognitive rehabilitation and/or additional care management activities.
b. Communicates evaluation findings interpretation of diagnostic tests diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations in both written and verbal formats (e.g. written reports and feedback to patients/families).

2. Professional Development & Training
