Job Description

Are you the missing piece to our winning parts counter team We are looking for a Parts Specialist with a passion for customer service.

About the role: As a Parts Counter Specialist you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service accurately identifying and locating parts and processing sales transactions. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking parts and accessories ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will contribute to a smooth and profitable operation within the parts department.

Business Operating Hours/Schedule:Monday through Friday 7:30 am 5:00 pm

In this role you can expect to:

  1. Customer Service
    1. Assist in providing parts solutions to customers both in person and over the phone.
    2. Provide customers with price quotes availability and technical information on parts in a friendly and professional manner
    3. Complete parts sales by entering purchased items into the sales/inventory system obtaining payment adding purchases to credit account and issuing sales receipts
  2. Parts Sourcing
    1. Assist customers (both internal and external) in finding the right parts.
    2. Source and obtain parts by leveraging vendor sites and other accessible resources.
    3. Utilizes both catalog and online resources to secure necessary parts to meet customer needs
  1. Inventory Management
    1. Manage and maintain the parts inventory including ordering stocking and organizing parts to prevent shortages or overages.
    2. Assist in keeping parts department and showroom clean orderly and well stocked
    3. Pull parts orders for customers as well as technician
  1. Additional
    1. Maintain accurate documentation related to parts orders transfers deliveries and inventory.
    2. Maintain a clean and organized parts storage area parts counter and showroom display area

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a parts department retail sales or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and parts catalog software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move parts boxes and equipment.
