Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to assess the potential development of a project by providing accurate and detailed measurements of materials labor needs format a bid on the scope of the project review drawings specifications and to develop procedures to assist with the quantifying of the work. In addition this position controls costs by collecting and studying information. This position must have a highlevel understanding of time management and to be able to set priorities keep projects within budget and on time.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working within a fastpaced dynamic and collaborative environment where the emphasis is placed on teamwork and satisfying our clients needs. A background in construction and working on multiple ongoing projects is required. Candidate should have strong attention to detail communicate well be self motivated and well organized. Job Description

As a member of the Cost Management team your job will encompass different levels of responsibility that commands professionalism and confidentiality. Below is a partial list of responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares budgets by understanding plans requirements updating specifications identifying and projecting costs for each project.

Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials identifying qualified subcontractors.

Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

Provide complete and accurate quantity takeoffs.

Analyze and comprehend job documents and RFQs.

Communicate with vendors for all trades.

Preparing cost analysis for labor equipment and materials

Analyze and comprehend plan sets and construction drawings.

Solicit and evaluate bids.

Monitor and qualify subcontractor bid submittals.

Provide complete estimates in proposal form.

Review construction documents to understand the project scope of work and provide direction to bid coordinators to secure proposals

Position requires close communication with internal management.

Consults with operations to develop innovative and diverse service solutions.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree construction management engineering or related field or relevant trade experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Retail and/or Restaurant construction preferred.
  • 2 years sales and/or project management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Up to 30% travel (position based in Dallas Texas).
  • Must have and maintain good driving record.
  • Adhere to companys policies as well as compliance with federal and state legislation laws.
  • Light construction remodeling and roll outs knowledge inside consumer shopping/guest environments preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Project Oracle Business Suite.
