FACILITIES TECHNICIAN II / SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
Rocket Lab is expanding and were excited to welcome you aboard! Based out of Rocket Labs newest Space Structures Complex production facility in Middle River MD and part of the dynamic Neutron program as a FACILITIES TECHNICIAN II / SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN youll collaborate closely with the Facilities Maintenance Lead and our Facilities Operations Team creating tangible impacts of Neutrons production facility.
(Please note: this position can be hired at the Facilities Technician II or Senior Facilities Technician)
WHAT YOULL GET TO DO:
Troubleshoot and maintain facility/HVAC equipment and systems.
Monitor and ensure that industrial air compressors vacuum pumps and cranes are operational.
Perform facilities and process equipment operational and preventive maintenance procedures.
Work with engineers to resolve issues or plan for acquiring/installing new equipment or systems.
Install new facilities and process equipment.
Assume a leadership role in training and supporting new technicians.
Support waste management tasks.
Monitor facility/HVAC systems and suggest modifications for improvement.
Maintain facility data collection requirements and procedures.
Identify nonconformances when they occur and participate in finding solutions.
Deploy the Quality Management System as it applies to the scope of work.
Ensure facilities maintenance work follows safety standards conforms to specifications and that work orders are tracked and completed within budgeted guidelines.
YOULL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A TECHNICIAN II FACILITIES:
YOULL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN:
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
Associates degree in a related field of study.
Experience with overhead crane operations maintenance and troubleshooting.
Building automation system experience.
Plumbing pipe fitting and irrigation experience.
Low and/or high voltage electrical experience.
Forklift scissor lift and boom lift experience.
OSHA and/or safety training.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Understanding of mechanical electropneumatics digital and analog electronics and working knowledge of Automated Building Controls.
Familiarity with motor controls compressed air and gas systems and gas control systems.
Familiarity with fire and security alarm systems.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing for long periods climbing up and down ladders bending grasping sitting pulling pushing stooping and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces.
Must be able to move repetitively bend or twist and use hands to handle control or feel objects tools or controls.
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods 8 hours minimum.
Must be able to stoop bend crawl and maneuver in tight spaces.
Level and base salary will be determined on a casebycase basis and may vary based on the following considerations: jobrelated knowledge and skills education and experience.
